NP PRE-SCHOOL PAPERWORK LOGO FINAL-OL.jpg

It all started when…

Northern Pastures Preschool was first created at Portfields Primary school.

It was started by the school as a transition into full-time schooling for the children in the area that needed a Pre-School experience.

They required a local setting with a “learn through play” ethos, and formed a committee of parents and volunteers to help run and fund-raise the pre-school.

The Pre-school was later moved out of the school due to the schools need for space and the pre-school found its new home in St Lukes Church.

Since our time at St Lukes the preschool has seen changes to equipment, space and fixtures all secured by committee members fundraising and has grown a fantastic relationship with the church.

The former Chairperson Kerry O’Neill drove the preschool forward and built on the children’s learning experience. Our current Chairperson Rosie Allen is now continuing this passion to create further learning experiences for children.

We are an affiliate with the Charity Commission and as an educational charity and are run by a voluntary committee made up from families who attend the pre-school and associate members.

We are registered with Ofsted and are members of the EYA (Early Years Alliance) and the Milton Keynes Play Association, this allows us access to a legal advice team.
